Brock Lesnar is in the prime of his career right now at age 39. But how many more trips to “Suplex City” does he have left in him? Luke Miller gives you 5 of his dream matches for The Beast Incarnate
In the wacky world of pro wrestling, you never know how much longer a performer has. Sometimes they have to retire way too soon like Steve Austin, Bret Hart & Edge, while other times we get to see them until their very last ride like The Undertaker.
Brock Lesnar undeniably makes his presence felt every time he comes back to WWE. And with his next title defense around the corner, it’s time to start figuring out what the future holds for The Beast.
Here are 5 Dream Matches for ‘The Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar that we will hopefully see before he hangs up the gloves.
And some of them could be his opponent for his newly won WWE Universal Championship:
5. Kenny Omega
This dream match up of The Beast Incarnate vs. The One Winged Angel could be epic regardless of the setting. Kenny has proven time and time again that he can put on one hell of a match in the ring.
If you are a wrestling fan & living under a rock, you may haven’t seen much of Kenny Omega in action. Some of his best matches are against Hiroshi Tanahashi at New Japan Pro Wrestling “New Beginnings” in Niigata 2016 where he won the IWGP Intercontinental Championship, or at G1 Climax 2016 day 18 where he defeated Tetsuya Naito, and by now everyone has at least heard about WrestleKingdom 11 when he went toe-to-toe w/ IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada.
There’s no doubt that Omega would put on a fantastic match with Lesnar. He would sell his trip to “Suplex City” like we may have never seen before.
And the idea of seeing Brock being hit by the One Winged Angel is amazing. With many rumors this year of Kenny Omega coming to WWE not coming true, maybe next year could be the year. You never know with pro wrestling, until its actually happening. Kenny is just an amazing performer & I’d love to see him fight The Conquerer.
4. Shinsuke Nakamura
The King of Suplex City vs. The King of Strong Style.
No one has really taken over NXT as fast as Shinsuke Nakamura did, and now that he is on the main roster he is about to rise atop the world of WWE.
SummerSlam may need a huge main event this year. And considering rumors that Vince McMahon is hot on the character of Shinuke Nakamura, why not have a little RAW vs. Smackdown battle of Brock vs. Shinsuke?
Their styles of fast paced destruction would collide so hard. Imagine Brock going for a suplex when Shinsuke lands on his feet and turns it into a Kinshasa? If WWE has grand plans of world title glory for Nakamura, an eventual win over Lesnar could establish him as a bonafide main event superstar.
In case you didn’t know, Lesnar vs. Nakamura happened once before in New Japan Pro Wrestling for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship on January 4, 2006.
3. Braun Strowman
The Monster Among Men vs. The Beast Incarnate could be one of those matches where it ends a PPV with everyone in shock.
These 2 have had the best builds as unbeatable men (just ignore their pasts with Roman Reigns for the most part), and they could put on one great match. Since the brand split Braun has gotten into better shape, learned how to do more in the ring and can now cut a viable promo.
With the potential of this match leading into Braun’s first title run, this match could make Braun a household name. On the flip side, if Lesnar systematically defeated Strowman, it will help solidify Lesnar’s run as WWE Universal Champion.
Just imagine the sight of Brock getting demolished with Braun’s explosive style, or seeing Braun get lifted for an F-5 or a Suplex. The potential for this feud is so great, and it could be what cements Braun as a threat instead of having him fight Roman Reigns again.
Braun needs to move onward & upward from Roman Reigns. The only feasible option is a clash with The Beast.
2. Finn Balor
This has been talked about ever since Finn made it to the main roster, and even more so after Brock wore the title Finn has his eyes on. Finn is just coming back from an injury he sustained at SummerSlam last year, and he is eager to fight. His electric speed and deadly kicks, combined with Brock’s strength and power would be a spectacle for sure.
Finn needs to be pushed and he needs a way to solidify himself as the new face of Raw. Should Finn be the man to defeated Lesnar?
Brock is not a full time guy, but still manages to be a huge threat. Having someone like Finn, who is not just a great wrestler, but extremely over with the WWE Universe would elevate him to the top, and then Finn could be the face that runs Monday Night Raw.
And lets be honest here, the Coup De Grau is one of the coolest finishers and seeing Brock go down to it would be a wonderful sight. Finn vs. Brock could be a match for the history books.
1. AJ Styles
AJ Styles is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Period.
Being a top guy in 4 of the biggest promotions in the world is no easy feat. From his time in TNA and his rise to stardom, to Ring of Honor and New Japan as leader of Bullet Club, to his outstanding first year in WWE.
AJ can literally put on a good match with anyone & a match with Lesnar would be nothing short of that.
After the rumors came true that AJ would go from being WWE Champion to fighting Shane McMahon at WrestleMania, people were nervous. How could you take someone who was the WWE Champion and put him in a match with an aging Shane McMahon? You can because its AJ Styles, and that was one of the better matches of WrestleMania 33 overall.
And AJ can account for just about any kind of style of fighter. He helped make John Cena look great numerous times, his feud with Dean Ambrose made Smackdown Live very exciting for the latter half of 2016 and if that isn’t enough, just watch anything he did with Bullet Club.
He is one of the only foreigners to ever win the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. You know who else has? Brock Lesnar.
New Japan suffered a heavy loss when AJ left for WWE, and this match needs to happen. How about a spot where Brock goes for a Suplex & AJ lands on his feet into a Pele kick into a Styles Clash? Or AJ is going for a Phenomenal Forearm and Brock catches him and hits an F-5? This match is #1 on my list because these 2 are some of the best wrestlers in the WWE, and before they both retire they need to clash.
