Earlier this week, former TNA Impact Wrestling original and most recently NJPW performer Alex Shelley officially announced his retirement from professional wrestling.
Here’s his tweet talking about his last match with the Young Bucks:
In the end, MCMG’s final match was against @NickJacksonYB, @MattJackson13, @njpwShowT, and @njpwyohei_k. I really don’t think I could’ve asked for a better ending. Four guys I love very much who I hope I helped some over the years. Thank you, gentlemen.

Shelley retires at the age of 35 years old.
Many around the wrestling community showed their respect to the career of Shelley, most notably Will Ospreay, who took the news harder than others:
Thank you Alex Shelley. pic.twitter.com/IpHFqZXL4t

Editor’s note: From everyone here at PWP Nation, we’d like to extend our respect for Shelley on one hell of a career. Also, wrestlers rarely ever stay retired, so don’t be surprised if we see him return at some point, as he’s only 35 years old.
