Anderson Silva vs. Uriah Hall Possible For UFC 198

A middleweight showdown pitting Anderson Silva against Uriah Hall is in the works for UFC 198.

Sources close to the situation revealed the news Wednesday evening. The UFC has not formally announced the 185-pound contest, but it is expected to be finalized soon. UFC 198 takes place at Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Brazil, on May 14 and is headlined by a heavyweight title clash between Fabricio Werdum and Stipe Miocic.

After a year on the sidelines due to a suspension for a failed drug test, Silva returned to action at UFC Fight Night in London, where he dropped a five-round verdict to Michael Bisping. “The Spider” has not won a fight since he stopped Stephan Bonnar in the opening stanza at UFC 153 in October 2012.

Hall is coming off an active 2015 in which he won three of his five Octagon appearances. Most recently, “The Ultimate Fighter 17” competitor suffered a unanimous decision loss to Robert Whittaker at UFC 193 this past November.
