Former WWE Diva Ashley Massaro has now joined the on-going concussion lawsuit against WWE claiming to not getting proper care for concussions suffered during her run there. Also, Massaro claims she was sexually assaulted during an overseas tour with the company.
Massaro said she was sexually assaulted during a 2006 WWE tour of Kuwait visiting U.S. troops. Upon returning and being examining by a company doctor, she said the doctor reported the incident to WWE personnel who later apologized to her about the incident, but “persuaded her that it would be best not to report it to appropriate authorities.’’
Additionally, Massaro stated that she suffered several concussions in WWE, without little-to-no medical attention. With Ashley joining the lawsuit, the case now holds 52 past WWE/wrestling performers.
Massaro won the WWE Diva Search in 2005 and was with WWE through the summer of 2008.
