A brand new World Champion has been determined at last night’s tapings of Impact Wrestling in Orlando, FL.
In a shocking turn of events, former TNA World Heavyweight Champion and recently released WWE Cruiserweight Austin Aries made his return to Impact Wrestling and is now the new IMPACT World Champion. Aries defeated Eli Drake to capture the title. The match is expected to air sometime in February.
Aries was the most significant name to debut at the tapings. Kiera Hogan, who had signed with the company a while ago, also made her debut and received a nice reaction from the crowd.
The tapings will continue over the next five days.
