Baron Corbin may be in what is known as the “WWE Doghouse” for his antics on social media over the past few weeks. According to Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Metlzer, Corbin almost certainly is getting punished.
In case you missed it, Corbin was engaged in an argument with Meltzer himself after comments Meltzer made about Corbin’s career so far. Corbin was also tweeting derogatory remarks at fans on Twitter; even going as far as to tell a mother that her children were “ugly.”
Meltzer said, “He’s definitely being punished, there isn’t any question now” after his decisive loss to John Cena at SummerSlam & his 6 second roll-up loss of his Money in the Bank briefcase to Jinder Mahal last week on Smackdown Live.
The belief at The Wrestling Observer is that former NXT Champion Bobby Roode will be called up to the main roster soon to take the main event level spot that Baron Corbin currently holds.
Side Note: I personally threw out this theory IMMEDIATELY after Corbin lost his Money in the Bank briefcase last week as seen in the tweet below:

While we always have to take the rumors by Dave Meltzer with a grain of salt, this is perfectly logical and likely the case. Corbin will probably have to spend some more time paying his dues before he gets another crack at being a top guy in the company. He has all of the tools, but does not conduct himself like a WWE Champion should. – Jay Alletto
