According to TMZ.com, WWE and Bill Goldberg are in talks about having the former WCW World Champion return to the ring in some form in the future.
After Goldberg struck up a deal with 2K Sports for WWE2K17, WWE officials were impressed by the response from fans all over the world, especially the Goldberg chants that filled the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn at WWE SummerSlam after the main event between Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton, where many in the building were expecting a run-in.
It should be noted that the relationship between WWE and Bill Goldberg over the years hasn’t been a good one, as there is still a certain amount of heat between the two sides. It’s no secret that Paul “Triple H” Levesque has never really been a fan of Goldberg and the two have not seen eye-to-eye when Goldberg was wrestling for the company in the early 2000s.
But it’s being said that Vince McMahon might be interested in bringing Goldberg back to go up against Brock Lesnar in a WrestleMania 20 rematch.
Only time will tell if or when Goldberg returns to the company.
