Caden Moran discusses why Baron Corbin has the potential of being the next big star in WWE

When it comes to stars of WWE, guys like AJ Styles, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns come to mind, but when it comes to the young guys & underrated talent, Baron Corbin jumps right off the page.

Baron Corbin made an immediate impact on WWE’s main roster when he won the 3rd annual Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32. Since that career defining moment, Corbin was just another former NXT guy lost in the shuffle.

However, in the past few months Corbin has shown that he has the ability to be a top guy in WWE. This past Sunday at the Tables Ladders and Chairs event, we saw just Corbin defeat Kalisto in a Chairs Match that exceeded expectations. The victory proved that Corbin has all the tools to be a top guy in the land of WWE & he proved he has all the potential to be the Next Big Thing due to his in ring work, his character & emerging charisma. He has the ability to make everybody in the crowd despise everything he does.

Since walking through the main roster doors at WrestleMania 32, Baron Corbin has shown tremendous improvement in his in ring skills, mic work and character development. His character development is without a doubt the thing that stands out from the rest. We all know Baron Corbin is known as “The Lone Wolf”. He has roamed alone with no friends or alliances since joining the ranks in WWE. As a fan of professional wrestling, that is what I love.

I love the type of guys that go at it alone because it allows those guys to go at it without having anybody holding you back from reaching your full potential (I’m looking at you Kevin Owens). There have been tons of successful stars in the WWE that have formed alliances with somebody else & were still able to reach the top. Times have changed in the WWE. The wrestlers that form no alliance is better than any alliance at all and Corbin is the no nonsense, roam free, brutal heel that will go all the way to the top.

From brutalizing the little guys that everyone loves or going after the guys that everybody hates, Corbin shows no mercy. That is what Corbin loves and one of the few things that will shoot him to the top.

Let’s not take anything away from what he brings in terms of being one of the most hated guys in all of WWE due to his attitude & phenomenal heel work. Mastering the art of being a heel is no easy doing. You need to know how to get under the crowds skin and make them want to boo you. That is exactly what Corbin knows how to do.

After starting his career off as a babyface, Corbin made the excellent choice to turn heel. He became the guy everybody in the WWE Universe loves to hate. In my eyes, he’s the best heel in WWE.

Corbin is my personal choice for top heel in WWE because he is a true bad guy. He draws heat & boos unlike the other “heels” such as Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, and AJ Styles who get cheered no matter where they are. Baron Corbin knows how to work the crowd to make them despise his antics and that is what makes a star: the ability to work the crowd.

Baron Corbin has proven that he doesn’t plan on having any alliances with anybody in the WWE to hold him back. He has mastered the art of being the guy everyone wants to hate.

With his improving in-ring talent and mic skills, Corbin will soon be a future world champion. And I have no doubt that Corbin will go from being “The Lone Wolf” to being The Lone Future of WWE.

  1. Thank you!
Thank you for brilliantly explaining his bright future! Corbin is everything that smackdown will need in mid- late 2017!

  2. This is insane. Does this kid even sell t-shirts? Zero charisma, and I always cheer for heels. In-ring ability is still sub-par, despite obvious improvements, still comes across as a punk kid, and I think this is the reason for his terrible booking during the past 2 years. Maybe shave his head, maybe portray him as someone who never gives up, or something more than a confused biker with an attitude.
