Baron Corbin has been improving steadily over his first year on WWE’s main roster. According to The Wrestling Observer, the improvements are setting Corbin up for a major push later this year. Corbin is in the early stages of that push.
Coming off of a feud with WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose & a most recent Smackdown Live Main Event against AJ Styles, Corbin’s natural ascendence to the top of the card is obvious. Current plans are in place for a feud with Randy Orton during the second half of the year.
Corbin may be in for a minor character change as well, along with some fresh music, shortly before his run with Orton kicks off.
