On a recent episode of The Ross Report with WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross, former WWE Champion Batista spoke with JR for over an hour discussing his career, Hollywood and most interestingly, a possible WWE return.
Here’s the quote:
“Yes, I would love to go back. But, the reason why I haven’t gone back is because I don’t want to do a one-off. I want to go [back] and I want to wrestle, man. I want to do some house shows and I want to be a part of the program and I love it. You know, the one-off thing, the cheap pop thing, man it doesn’t do anything for me. So know it’s a matter of scheduling, and if I could go back and, you know, if I happen to get injured, is it gonna affect something else?”
There has been no rumors or word if WWE is interested in a return by The Animal, but given his relationship with WWE Executive Vice President Paul “Triple H” Levesque, the possibility is very real. Batista has commented in the past on how he was very disappointed with how he left WWE years ago and wants to make it right.
