Earlier this week, a report by PWInsider.com’s Mike Johnson stated that:
“multiple people inside WWE have told him that Jeff Jarrett is under consideration for a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame.”
Today, The Wrestling Observer further commented on this report stating:
“There have been reports going around about Jeff Jarrett being offered a spot in this year’s WWE Hall of Fame. While not confirmed, there was a list of names a few weeks ago under consideration and he was on the list.”
There has been no comment from Jeff Jarrett on this rumor. However, at this stage of the game, I would not be surprised if we saw Jeff Jarrett in the WWE Hall of Fame sooner rather than later.
While Jarrett has had some rough times in the past year or so, there’s no denying his contribution to the professional wrestling business. Can we take a step back and truly understand how instrumental Jarrett was in the development of some of WWE’s best talent? AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode, Eric Young and the list goes on.
Not only that, but Jeff Jarrett is one of the best heels the business has ever seen. A fantastic technical wrestler with an amazing mind for the business, Jarrett truly deserves the honor. While WWE has not commented on this, the lack of comment from Jarrett leads me to believe this story.
I am heavily BUYING that Jeff Jarrett is not only being considered for the WWE Hall of Fame, but is a likely candidate this year in New Orleans.
