Mickey Gall defeated Mike Jackson in less than one minute tonight at UFC Fight Night from Las Vegas, earning himself a fight against CM Punk. Gall knocked Jackson down with a right hand, and finished him with a rear naked choke just 47 seconds into the fight. After the fight, Gall once against called out Punk, before Punk made his way into the octagon and faced off with Gall. The two shook hands, multiple times and posed together.

Dana White and UFC have confirmed that Punk’s first fight will now be against Gall, but have not confirmed when that fight will take place. When asked when he would like the fight to happen, Punk said it wasn’t up to him, but if he had any say, he’d choose UFC 200.

Been a wrestling fan for almost 30 years. I've seen Hulkamania, The New Generation, The NWO, the Attitude Era, and the PG Era, and I've enjoyed all of it in different ways. I still remember standing on the guardrail at ten years old and having it fall over in front of Razor Ramon. I was there live when The Undertaker abducted Stephanie McMahon, and I was there when The Rock surprised the entire TD Garden at a house show. Recently been getting into a lot of independent wrestling, especially in the Northeast. I follow WWE, NXT, TNA, ROH and NJPW, among others, but mainly only watch WWE/NXT religiously. I'll probably be more positive about WWE than you, and I'm OK with that.
