Today on TSN with Michael Landsberg, Dana White announced the circumstances surrounding CM Punk‘s first fight in the UFC. As was rumored in recent weeks from Dana White’s new show, “Looking For A Fight”, CM Punk will likely be facing Mickey Gall from New Jersey. Here are Dana White’s comments:
“I’m bringing Mickey Gall in and he’s going to fight a kid named Michael Jackson. They’re going to fight on the prelims on February 6th on Fight Pass and if he wins that fight, Mickey Gall will fight CM Punk and CM Punk will be there at the fight to watch.”
UFC is clearly starting to build towards CM Punk’s octagon debut, which is likely going to take place in 2016. There is no specific date set right now. And there’s no indication on who Punk will fight if Gall does not defeat “a kid named Michael Jackson.”
Maybe we’ll get to see CM Punk vs. Michael Jackson? That’ll put butts in the seats.
