Cody suffered a major injury during his All Elite Wrestling World Championship challenge against Chris Jericho. During the contest, Cody got a full head of steam and jumped over the top rope…smashing his head into the ramp that connected to the ring.
Immediately, blood started to pour from Cody’s face and a nasty cut was revealed on his forehead.
As a result, Cody suffered a ‘costochondral separation’, which is an injury to his ribs, and eight stitched to close the cut. The image below shows Cody’s forehead after the stitches were administered.
Cody was able to finish the match, but there were moments where the announce team of Excalibur and Jim Ross questioned if that would be the case.
