Last week, WWE announced that longtime booker and promoter Jeff Jarrett will be a part of the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame class, which will honored during WrestleMania 34 weekend in April.

The announcement received some mixed reactions and many wondered why WWE would push for Jarrett to be inducted into the Hall of Fame considering his numerous attempts of aggressively competing with WWE in his time in TNA Wrestling.

According to Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso, Paul “Triple H” Levesque was the one that pushed and pitched the idea for Jeff Jarrett to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. The reason is speculated to have something to do with the recent acquisition of longtime Impact Wrestling announcer and backstage producer Jeremy Borash.

It’s being said that Triple H is (not so) quietly putting together a group of people to help advise and produce television when the day comes for him to eventually take over creative control, whenever that may be. Until then, these hand-picked guys will help him develop NXT and many believe that Jeff Jarrett may join the likes of Borash, Steve Corino, Road Dogg, etc. in assisting Triple H.

As of now, the only plans WWE has for Jarrett is the Hall of Fame.
