Earlier this week, a number of wrestling news outlets reported that former WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar demanded to main event WrestleMania, which led to a “bust-up” with Vince McMahon backstage.
Yeah, I’m looking at you, SLICE WRESTLING 😂.
This is FALSE.
A source close to the situation has told PWP Nation that this scenario was actually “quite the opposite.” Lesnar was actually respectful & gracious, but didn’t stick around to watch the show with the rest of the roster. He did leave.
Lesnar actually said, “LET ME GO ON FIRST”, which is a big part of the reason why the Universal Championship Match opened the show. There was consideration for the match to open WrestleMania for a while, but Lesnar’s openness to the idea made the decision easy.
It turns out that many consider this opening to WrestleMania one of the most exciting in the history of the event.
