Many UFC fighters and personalities are reacting on social media to the news that Rafael dos Anjos has been forced to withdraw from his UFC 196 fight with Conor McGregor due to a broken foot. We’ll keep track of the reactions here on PWP:
With dos Anjos out, the only guys I could see taking that fight on 11 days notice are Nate Diaz or Cerrone.
Probably have to be at 170 too.— Cathal Pendred (@Pendred) February 23, 2016
Conor will fight at #UFC196
From what I hear you need to keep your eyes on Nate Diaz

@Cowboycerrone I would start making as much noise as poss for the Connor fight no matter what your profile would go up 10 levels $$$ #UFC196
@UFC won’t give a very tough fight to @TheNotoriousMMA , they want Him and @RdosAnjosMMA , probably will get someone out of shape .#UFC

“I’ve fought 155 before & the most important part is he’s not gonna scare me w/ his attitude I’m a f*cking crazy Armenian,” Gamburyan wrote.

What is wrong with these fighters!?! Can’t they prepare for a fight without smashing themselves to pieces? So frustrating! 😡

Told that @TeamKhabib offered to replace @RdosAnjosMMA and @UFC said no. Going to update my post.

(1) Would think if Jose Aldo was medically cleared, he’d have considered training toward UFC 196, in case an injury happened.

(2) More than likely was too soon for him after getting KO’d just 10 weeks ago. But the call came in for the fight he so wants.
