In the most anticipated boxing match in recent memory, Floyd Mayweather defeated Conor McGregor via 10th Round TKO when the referee Robert Byrd stepped in to save McGregor, who wasn’t intelligently defending himself.
Overall, the fight lived up to expectations for most fans. I personally enjoyed it.
Floyd’s professional boxing record moved to 50-0. Post fight, Mayweather told Jim Gray that he was retiring.
Conor McGregor had some early momentum in the fight. However, the official scorecard told a different story. All three judges had Mayweather winning into the 10th:
