According to several reports, former WWE announcer Todd Grisham has signed a deal with UFC to announce upcoming shows for the promotion.
Grisham’s new post has not been officially announced yet, but based on his twitter account, it has become quite clear that Grisham is joining the UFC:
Just changed my twitter handle to @GrishamMMA. 2017 is going to be a great year!
— Todd Grisham (@GrishamMMA) January 3, 2017
This news comes after longtime UFC announcer Mike Goldberg departed from the company, who called his last event at UFC 207. It’s unlikely that Grisham will fill Goldberg’s shoes as the lead play-by-play guy during UFC pay-per-views, but it seems as he will be calling FS1 shows and Fight Nights on FOX. He debuts January 15th at UFC Fight Night.
