He’s BACK!
According to Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com, former UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre has reportedly come to terms with the UFC on a multi-fight deal.
After months of negotiations, the two sides come back to an agreement and St-Pierre will be back in an octagon in no time. While St-Pierre’s return fight has yet to be finalized, the current plan is for him to compete later in the year. The report states a return in the third quarter of 2017 is currently being targeted.
The UFC declined to comment on this, but Dana White, UFC president, has been hinting at the two sides coming to a deal for some time.
Right now, it’s still unclear what division GSP will be returning too, but St-Pierre expressed interest in fighting Michael Bisping for the UFC Middleweight Championship, which is still a possibility.
