In an interview with NBC Sports this week, Goldberg noted that he tweaked his shoulder this past week on Monday Night Raw, where he was seen disposing of several security guards in an angle with his opponent at WWE Survivor Series, Brock Lesnar.
Goldberg also noted that his body doesn’t feel great and that this will probably be his last match.
Here’s his response to a question about how he’s feeling about the match and in general:
“At the end of the day, it’s all that I’m concerned about. I take one day as it is. My body feels horrible. I tweaked my shoulder last night, but that doesn’t mean in five days that I’m not going to come out kicking ass and taking names like I always do.”
Originally, Goldberg’s involvement was suppose to be a one-match deal, but after the buzz surrounding his return, WWE officials felt that it was possible to use Goldberg again. But after this interview, who knows if Goldberg agrees to such a thing.
It appears that Goldberg will be fine to go on Sunday, but after hearing him describe the current state of how he’s feeling, there should definitely be some concern for him and the match itself.
