Last weekend at the G1 Special in San Francisco, CA, Hiromu Takahashi took a nasty spill when a spot called the “phoenix-plex” went wrong in his match with Dragon Lee.
Earlier this week, New Japan Pro-Wrestling provided a statement laying out the events and what will happen going forward. We’ve yet to hear what the injury is exactly, but considering the way the spot looked, it is obviously very serious.
With thousands of fans showing their support for Takahashi, he finally responded via Twitter to let people know he’s fine:
