According to Dave Meltzer at the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, former WWE Women’s Champion Sasha Banks is not expected to be out of action very long despite having a back injury. The injury won’t require surgery, so she could be back sooner than previously feared. Meltzer stated on Monday’s Observer Radio that he expects Banks to be out for 1-2 months.
Meltzer stated that Banks losing the Women’s Championship at WWE SummerSlam to Charlotte was made because of the injury to her back. Originally, the plan was for Banks to win the title at SummerSlam and carry it for an extended period of time.
There was speculation that Banks might have failed a wellness policy test, but that isn’t the case. Banks has received time off for the next 30 days to deal with her nagging injuries that have plagued her since WrestleMania season.
