Lio Rush vs. John Silver

Lio Rush is rapidly becoming one of the most talked about names in all of independent wrestling, recently becoming the 2016 Ring of Honor Top Prospect Tournament winner, and the “Angry Beaver” John Silver will be looking to capitalize on that recognition with a victory over the high flying Rush. Silver’s strength is something Rush has likely never had to deal with from a man Silver’s size, and Rush would do well to make sure he doesn’t take Silver lightly. Silver has taken David Starr to the limit recently in Beyond, and will undoubtedly be ready to try and knock Rush down a couple pegs. By all accounts, however, Lio Rush is ready and able to rise to any challenge put in front of him, and is looking to continue his huge momentum.

Prediction: Lio Rush wins this first time match-up of clashing styles.

Tim Bell
Been a wrestling fan for almost 30 years. I've seen Hulkamania, The New Generation, The NWO, the Attitude Era, and the PG Era, and I've enjoyed all of it in different ways. I still remember standing on the guardrail at ten years old and having it fall over in front of Razor Ramon. I was there live when The Undertaker abducted Stephanie McMahon, and I was there when The Rock surprised the entire TD Garden at a house show. Recently been getting into a lot of independent wrestling, especially in the Northeast. I follow WWE, NXT, TNA, ROH and NJPW, among others, but mainly only watch WWE/NXT religiously. I'll probably be more positive about WWE than you, and I'm OK with that.
