UPDATE (10/4/16 – 11:18 PM (EST): Since all the speculation of Goldberg making a return to WWE, he tweeted this:
Reading the Internet…. you never know who to believe do you? #WhosNext
— Bill Goldberg (@Goldberg) October 5, 2016
Take it for what it’s worth.
ORIGINAL: Earlier today, we reported that WWE is in very serious talks with Bill Goldberg about making a return to the ring for the company. If you’d like more details on the matter and read the story from earlier today, CLICK HERE.
Since that report, more details have come to the surface.
According to legendary WWE commentator and Hall of Famer Jim Ross, he has a source stating that Goldberg has already signed a WWE contract and will go one-on-one with Brock Lesnar at WWE Survivor Series.
Here’s the tweet:
Another source says that @Goldberg vs @BrockLesnar is a done deal and that it will likely go down at #SurvivorSeries. If true, bravo @wwe
— Jim Ross (@JRsBBQ) October 5, 2016
Ross did mention that there’s a chance it could fall through or the source could have the wrong information, but it doesn’t seem like Ross or his source would have a reason to report something that isn’t backed up. Obviously, with a company headed by Vince McMahon, anything can happen and plans can change.
