- A report from Ringside News is suggesting that Jim Ross is set to step back from his full time announcing gig on AEW Dynamite to a more part time role.
- In the report, there is a quote from Jim Ross discussing his original contract with AEW, and how it was for 3 years. This contract is set to expire in roughly April 2022.
- The report also suggests that Jim Ross will simply be “stepping back.” He will still be at the table for big matches & moments, but his full time contract will be scaled back.
- Jim Ross has stated that the report is, “It’s news to me…” in a Tweet that can be found below.
Jim Ross has taken to Twitter simply stating, “It’s news to me…” The original report does not reveal who their source is, but apparently there are multiple sources confirming this news.
This isn’t the first time that a wrestling personality would hear about contract news online. Perhaps Jim Ross is playing into the report?
In my opinion, the report is plausible. When running a business that tours the country on a weekly basis, you have to consider all contracts when renewal time is coming up.
