WWE is “BACK IN BUSINESS” and they want a WrestleMania sized SummerSlam this year, according to multiple sources.
- WrestleVotes on Twitter, who has broken and confirmed many stories over the years, tweeted earlier today that “WWE is 100% attempting to make SummerSlam this year’s WrestleMania.”
- WrestleVotes continued and stated, “I do believe they want Reigns v Cena to headline. Not sure if they’ve decided.”
Shortly after this, another reporter named Jon Alba confirmed the news of a scheduled Roman Reigns vs. John Cena headlining Universal Championship match for this year’s WWE SummerSlam.
With two reputable sources confirming this possible main event, one would have to wonder just WHEN John Cena actually comes back to Smackdown to kick off the feud. Many have speculated that Cena will be back to help WWE relaunch through the early months of returning to the road, including Dave Meltzer at The Wrestling Observer.
There is no question in anyone’s mind that this is the PERFECT time for a clash between Roman Reigns and John Cena.
What do you think? Will this match happen?
