Jon Moxley took to Tokyo Sports to talk about his aspirations in becoming the IWGP Champion, becoming the first man to hold the AEW, WWE & IWGP Championship.
Moxley said:
“I’ve become WWE & AEW Champion, but I haven’t become the IWGP Champion yet. I don’t think there’s anyone out there who’s won all three?If I’m going to fight SANADA, I have an image of myself as the IWGP World Champion, so it might be interesting.”
It remains to be seen if AEW is planning on sending Moxley in this direction. In the tweet below, you can see that we publicly challenged Chris Jericho to go after the same accolade!
The only other man besides Jericho that could earn this accolade is CM Punk, but that seems highly unlikely to happen. I do think this would be a cool angle in the future; all 3 men racing to achieve this wild piece of wrestling history.
NOTE: I didn’t call out CM Punk because I am blocked!
