Uncle Dave Meltzer says that Kevin Owens will be out 4-8 months for a knee surgery. The extent of the injury won’t be known until his knee is opened up & surgeons can evaluate.
The news report also went on to discuss the reasoning for Bobby Lashley’s sudden heel turn. Aside from it being an absolutely awesome idea, WWE felt that RAW was lacking top heels; especially with the loss of Owens. This is the main reason why Lashley decided to repeatedly wrap Owens’ knees around the steel post after his victory.

– It isn’t known whether or not this beatdown to Kevin Owens indicated a babyface turn & a possible revenge storyline against Lashely down the road. I believe that the slate would be completely clean for a Kevin Owens return storyline. Maybe even document his knee rehabilitation and give us one of those cool return videos.
