According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, during his main event match with Dolph Ziggler this past Tuesday on SmackDown LIVE, Bray Wyatt did indeed suffer an ankle injury. It’s being said that Wyatt only sustained a sprained ankle.
Wyatt is still scheduled to work WWE house shows this weekend and was reportedly insistent on working this weekend even though some WWE officials wanted him to sit them out. Meltzer noted that Wyatt doesn’t want to take time off because it might result in the company viewing him as injury prone.
Wyatt sustained the injury when Ziggler went from a roll up, which resulted in Wyatt’s leg to get caught under Ziggler as he rolled over. Bray immediately grabbed his ankle and was clearly upset as they went to commercial break.
Luckily the injury isn’t that serious, but we will keep you posted on this story as more information becomes available.
