According to the Wrestling Observer, Rey Mysterio is having serious contractual troubles with AAA and has not appeared for the promotion all year. Mysterio isn’t the only one that is having this issue with the promotion. The current issues with AAA are financial and creative, reportedly.
In result of this dispute, Konnan recently appeared on a podcast, where he speculated that Mysterio could possibly return to WWE within the year.
Additionally, the Wrestling Observer is reporting if this issue isn’t resolved, Mysterio might be able to get out of his contract with AAA, which in-turn would end his relationship with Lucha Underground. With that happening, Mysterio could easily come back to WWE on a part-time basis.
