The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer is reporting that Ric Flair is still in an Atlanta hospital in critical condition. While it was widely believed that Flair was admitted for a heart issue, it turns out that Flair had successful colon surgery to remove a blockage.
The blockage caused Flair’s kidneys to stop functioning, otherwise known as kidney failure. There were also a number of other complications to Flair’s health due to the blockage.
The fact that Flair made it through the surgery in successful fashion is a good sign, but the real challenge is for his kidneys start functioning again.
