2K have announced further details on the upcoming WWE 2K16 video game which will be playable on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The expected release date is scheduled for October 27 in North America and October 30 in Europe.

The only major feature that has been known for some time is that there will be 120 “unique” characters, that means no duplicates, although a wrestler was several gimmicks such as Mick Foley; Dude Love, Cactus Jack, and Mankind would be counted as separate but the likes of Sting in the 80’s, 90’s or 00 would be considered as one playable character.

Steve Austin was also confirmed as the cover star and also believed to be featured an Attitude Era mode which Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross have recorded voice-overs for.

Just last night John Bradshaw Layfield revealed that the game will have the very first three-man announcing booth.

We have also been expecting a large NXT roster and today 2K revealed Finn Bálor‘s entrance – epic!

You’ll also be pleased to learn “simulation” is much improved, Chain grappling is making a comeback and moves will betrer reflect wrestler’s attribute values. A wrestler can now gain stamina while draining his opponent’s. In addition, this year – there are major changes to the reversal system which has needed an overhaul for a long while.

Now, each match will begin with a limited number of reversals which will regenerate overtime, meaning you won’t be able to counter every move, if you do you’ll simply burn out. You can also do a whole host of other things with the reversal system that can improve your chances of coming out on top.
