The news of Mike and Maria Kanellis resigning with WWE for five years is indeed old news from weeks ago. However, several reports today state that the Kanellis’ (Bennetts) might have played WWE right into their hands.
Multiple reports today state that the couple did not inform WWE of Maria’s pregnancy until AFTER the new deals were signed. While one could justify WWE for voiding the deals by claiming the couple withheld the pregnancy, it appears after Raw this week, a “Who’s the father” storyline could be in the works. Mike “quit” 205 Live last week and it appears his power struggle angle with 205 Live GM Drake Maverick has ended. It appears now the couple will be moved to Raw as new Executive Director Paul Heyman is said to be behind the new direction for the couple.
