Earlier today on ESPN Sportscenter, Dana White announced that UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping will defend against former 2-tim UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre.
There is no date set for the fight yet, but it is rumored to be taking place in the second half of 2017.
St. Pierre will be competing inside The Octagon for the first time since November 16, 2013. He just recently resigned with UFC and Bisping was on his rumored list of fights that he wanted.
This fight essentially skips UFC’s #1 ranked Middleweight, Yoel Romero, who earned the right to fight Bisping after a stunning KO over former Middleweight King Chris Weidman. Bisping has gone on record stating that he will have a quick turnaround after fighting GSP & then defend against Romero.
