According to the great Ryan Satin over at ProWrestlingSheet.com, Daniel Bryan reportedly agreed to return to weekly WWE television as the new SmackDown general manager back in May.
Originally, Bryan was scheduled to return earlier to feud with Shane and Stephanie McMahon. There were plans for Vince McMahon to reveal his return and the WWE Draft the night after the Money In The Bank pay-per-view.
At this time, it’s unknown when Mick Foley was offered the position and when he accepted.
