According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, Samoa Joe may be heading to the main roster soon. A source informed him that Joe would likely lose to Finn Balor at NXT Takeover: Dallas, which he did, and head to the main roster shortly thereafter.
At one point, according to Meltzer, Joe was slated to win the match, but plans obviously are never set in stone. Joe losing the match to Balor & his reaction when a backstage interviewer tried to get a comment from him could be a good indication that he is done in NXT. It was a similar reaction that Kevin Owens gave after he lost to Finn Balor at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn.
Considering the immediate popularity of main roster call-ups and signees like Kevin Owens & AJ Styles, it wouldn’t surprise me to see Samoa Joe show up on Raw the night after WrestleMania.
