New Japan Pro Wrestling dropped a huge announcement before tonight’s “War Of The Worlds” Pay-Per View as they announced the creation of a brand new championship dubbed the IWGP United States Championship. During July’s special G1 Climax shows in Long Beach, California, a two night tournament on July 1st and July 2nd will decide the first ever IWGP United States Champion.
This is groundbreaking news as the creation of this belt shows that NJPW is serious about expanding their company in the states. Below is a picture of the new championship that will become exclusive to NJPW in July.
