According to our dear friend Dave Meltzer, New Japan Pro Wrestling is trying to recover from the recent talent departures by resigning current talent and bringing in some fresh faces. Will Ospreay, who is from the United Kingdom, has recently been signed by NJPW.
2015 was a breakout year for Ospreay as he worked matches with AJ Styles, Austin Aries & Kazuchika Okada. He also made it to the semi-finals of the PWG “Battle of Los Angeles” in 2015 as well.
Will was working the TNA UK Tour this past weekend & was signed while on tour with TNA. TNA is reportedly upset with the signing as Ospreay is obviously on their radar. Rumor is that TNA had preliminary plans to push Ospreay.
