This past weekend during an NXT live event in Green Bay, Wisconsin, NXT Superstar Dakota Kai suffered a leg injury in a tag team match.
Kai teamed up with Kairi Sane and Candice LeRae vs. NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir.
At this time, it’s unclear where or how the injury took place, but fans in attendance claimed to see Kai needing assistance to the back after the match was over.
Since then, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Kai had an MRI earlier this week and the results came back with bad news.
Meltzer noted that Kai is believed to have a torn ACL. A typical timeline for a torn ACL is 6-9 months.
