PWP’s Sherron Watson gives his list of possible breakout stars in WWE next year.

2016 is going to be a vital year for WWE. They’ve had problems creating stars in years past, which is why this column is going to be about the men and women I would love to see “break-out” and be big time in the up coming year.

I asked this question on Twitter (@Sherron1982) and I got mostly the same response from my followers. (Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, Dean Ambrose, and of course my favorite Cesaro.)

I believe Owens and Ambrose have broken out and are already key players to the company. We pretty much know that Balor will be a force once he gets to the main roster. As for Cesaro….I’m going to keep the “Power Of Positivity” and believe his time will come sometime in 2016 as well.

I took a more “outsider” approach. Here are six possible break-out stars that you wouldn’t expect:

Emma

Let’s start my list off first with a… Diva?

In my opinion, Emma is one of the top women wrestlers on the roster. She’s very talented when she steps into the squared circle and she also arguably started the “Divas Revolution” along with Paige. She doesn’t have a real character and that’s holding her back.

I would love to see a full blown heel turn with Emma and just have her be one of those annoying mean heels kind of like Ivory was with “Right To Censor.” If she develops a strong character, she could easily be one of the top divas in the company.

Kalisto

I like Kalisto a lot. It’s always good to have an exciting high flyer on your roster. The first step is getting away from Sin Cara. The Lucha Dragons seemed to have lost buzz with fans since they debuted on the main roster the night after WrestleMania 31.

When it comes to in-ring work, Kalisto is better than Rey Mysterio in my opinion. If they let him have a singles run while booking him like a threat, he might get fans behind him. He is someone who I would build my mid-card division around. He has tons of room to improve, especially on the microphone.

Stardust

Everyone seems to want the Cody Rhodes character back. Don’t get me wrong I do too! But, I love the Stardust persona. He’s so underrated. His microphone work is very impressive and the fact that he changed his move-set is incredible to me. Personally, I want him to feud with John Cena for the US Title.

I’m not so sure why WWE hasn’t pushed Stardust yet, but I think it’s coming. He’s still only 30 years old, so time is definitely on his side.

Maybe Stardust is my early prediction for Money In the Bank winner? We’ll see, I guess.

Titus O’Neil

HOORAH! HOORAH! HOORAH!

I love Titus O’ Neil; he’s a great talent to watch. He has all the charisma in the world and the best “hot tag” wrestler in the company. If he wasn’t 36 years of age, he would be my vote to become a World Champion. He could still become champion, but with the likes of Roman Reigns and other young up-in-comers, it’s highly unlikely.

I really wish his singles run went somewhere last year when he split up from Daren Young. Prime Time Players got hot for a couple of months, but now The Dudley Boyz are overshadowing them. With that being said, I would love to see O’Neil get a shot at a mid-card title.

Chad Gable & Jason Jordan

World’s Greatest Tag Team 2.0?

Everyone loves these two! They remind me so much of Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas. Jason Jordan is a blue chip player. He could be a huge player on the main roster one day. I hope the same goes for Chad Gable. My fear is that WWE won’t be “high” on him for his size.

I think Gable and Jordan can be a great addition to the already great tag-team division.

Tye Dillinger

Possibly my favorite guy in NXT. He’s always had talent, but seemed like he was always missing something. Well he found it, as the perfect 10 gimmick is great especially because he plays it so well. Another guy that has all the potential to be a huge star.

I hope he doesn’t continue to job in NXT. I want to see him get a shot at the title at some point in his NXT run. When he gets to the main roster, he could be a solid addition.

Hopefully you enjoyed the list. If you think I missed anyone, please let me know by commenting below or interacting with me on Twitter! Thanks for reading, everyone.
