UPDATE: During the same broadcast of the Slammy Awards, WWE is also advertising John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio for December 27th, in Hartford, CT. It’s unclear at this which advertisement is the most relevant. Stay tuned.
ORIGINAL: During Monday Night RAW this week, there were local advertisements airing in the Connecticut area for a December 27th live event in Hartford, with a match between John Cena vs. Sheamus. The interesting part of this ad was that Cena was billed as the United States Champion.
Of course, during RAW, John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio for the US Title was announced for next week (12/28). The timeline here doesn’t exactly match up and these advertisements are always subject to change, but it should be noted that there is a high possibility that WWE will be putting the title back on Cena in the near future.
