The Nevada Athletic Commission held hearings earlier today involving
Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov to determine disciplinary actions for their involvement in the post-fight brawl at UFC 229 last October.
Nurmagomedov received a fine of $500,000 and a nine-month suspension. The suspension could be reduced up to three months if Nurmagomedov produces an anti-bullying public service announcement. The suspension is retroactive to last October 6th, and the fine is tied to 25% of his disclosed purse of $2,000,000.
McGregor was given a $50,000 fine and a six-month suspension, and his suspension is also retroactive to the date of the fight. McGregor will be eligible to fight as of April 6th of this year.
Nurmagomedov’s teammates, Abubakar Nurmagomedov and Zubaira Tukhugov were issued suspensions of one-year and $25,000 fines for their involvement in the brawl as well. Nurmagomedov is Khabib’s cousin and has fought for World Series of Fighting (PFL) since 2015. Tukhugov has been fighting for the UFC since 2014. He was scheduled to fight Artem Lobov last October but was removed from the fight due to his involvement in the brawl.
Jon Jones was given a one-fight license for UFC 235 on March 2nd. Jones will also be tested at least twice a month leading up to his fight vs. Anthony Smith.
ESPN announced earlier start times for the upcoming UFC cards so that shows will end earlier. Below are the start times for the next sets of upcoming cards (times listed are for the main cards):

- UFC on ESPN+ 3 (Blachowicz vs. Santos) – February 23rd: 2 pm ET
- UFC on ESPN+ 4 (Dos Santos vs. Lewis) – March 9th: 8 pm ET
- UFC on ESPN+ 5 (Till vs. Masvidal) – March 16th: 3 pm ET
- UFC on ESPN+ 6 (Thompson vs. Pettis) – March 23rd: 8 pm ET
- UFC on ESPN 2 (Barboza vs. Gaethje) – March 30th: 7 pm ET
