According to Disney chairman and C.E.O. Bob Iger, the ESPN+ streaming platform currently has over 2 million paid subscribers. The UFC’s debut on the service has given quite an increase to the streaming platform after 525,000 new subscribers signed up for the service on the weekend of the inaugural UFC event on ESPN+ last month.
Former UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic sent out a video stating his intent to rematch Daniel Cormier for the heavyweight title, stating Cormier “owes me this one. I would do the same.” Cormier responded by writing, “I don’t owe anyone shit.” Cormier defeated Miocic for the title last July.
UFC lightweight David Teymur broke his right orbital bone during his fight with Charles Oliveira last Saturday at UFC Fortaleza. The Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA) have issued Teymur a medical suspension of 180 days, although he can return earlier if cleared by a specialist.
