Triple H announced last night via Twitter that WWE has signed former UFC Bantamweight Fighter Shayna Baszler to a contract.
The calm before the storm…
Win, lose, or draw, it is my pleasure to welcome @KairiSaneWWE and @QoSBaszler to @WWE. #MaeYoungClassic pic.twitter.com/ZBeDBj3Zvt— Triple H (@TripleH) September 13, 2017
The Wrestling Observer stated last week that Baszler hadn’t signed a contract leading up to the finals of The Mae Young Classic, which saw Baszler lose to Kairi Sane.
However, since the conclusion of The Mae Young Classic, Baszler had not announced any upcoming independent wrestling appearances.
It should be worth noting that the rumored “Four Horsewomen” feud that was set to take place between the two rival factions was put on hold because Baszler (and Ronda Rousey) were not signed to WWE contracts.
