- According to a new report behind the super cool paywall at FightFul, Randy Orton may NOT be returning to WWE this Summer for a planned feud with WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
- Randy Orton was injured during a recent Tag Team Championship loss to The Uso’s on the May 20th episode of Smackdown. The Uso’s became the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Champions.
- It was HEAVILY rumored that Randy Orton was penciled in to challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam in July
Another terrible bit of news coming out of WWE as Randy Orton is expected to be out much longer than initially thought.
Fightful is reporting Randy Orton MAY need surgery, and could be out the rest of 2022, ultimately taking him out of SummerSlam against Reigns.

For all the GREAT Roman reigns did during his reign, the creative decision to put both titles on him have ruined every bit of it.
Recently, Orton was sidelined with an injury, but the timetable was roughly set for a return at this year’s SummerSlam to take on Reigns. Orton’s injury as gotten WORSE and he may require surgery. If this is the case, he will be out for at least the rest of 2022.
Terrible news for WWE, as they have already lost Cody Rhodes to injury, Roman Reigns has been taking time off and Vince McMahon is under internal investigation; which we will have a report on soon.
Per Fightful Select, Randy Orton is dealing with a back injury that WWE fears could sideline him for the remainder of the year if should he need surgery. Awful timing given he was rumored to face Roman Reigns at Summerslam. Seth Rollins?

Randy Orton has been one of the most consistent main event WWE Superstars over the last 20 years and has recently had a remarkable babyface run along side his RK-BRO Tag Team Partner, Riddle.
We will keep you posted.
