Anthem Sports & Entertainment, the parent company of Global Force Wrestling, reportedly wants out of the wrestling industry.
Sports Illustrated is reporting that GFW is “hemorrhaging funds” & “sources close to the situation are confirming that Anthem is ready to withdraw from the wrestling industry and put GFW up for sale.”
Cutback were made at the recent set up tapings, with some talent not being brought in & others only being used on a selective basis.
While this is not confirmed by anyone in GFW or Anthem yet, it is worth noting that Jeff Jarrett was sent home yesterday to take an indefinite leave of absence. No word on if these two incidents could be related.
We will keep you posted if more information becomes available.
