Earlier this week, PWInsider.com’s Mike Johnson reported that WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is not currently expected to compete at WWE SummerSlam this year.
Here’s a direct quote from Johnson on his radio show:
“I am hearing Brock isn’t working SummerSlam. We may not see Brock again until later in the year, which is madness if you think about the belt. It could be that they may only have a couple of dates left on Brock. If they want him more often then maybe they should sign him to some more dates. It will be interesting to see how WWE books their Universal Title picture and SummerSlam moving forward.”
There is currently speculation that WWE opted to use Lesnar for the Greatest Royal Rumble event instead of SummerSlam. Please keep in mind that this is a report and that Lesnar’s schedule is known to change. Take this with a grain of salt.
