Well, this is different.
According to a report via Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is currently planning a match at November’s Survivor Series that will see Raw’s WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar go one-on-one with SmackDown LIVE’s WWE Champion Jinder Mahal in a non-title encounter.
As we’ve seen reports of, Jinder Mahal is apparently scheduled to hold the WWE Championship well into December, after WWE tours India and Mahal is headlining several of those shows against Kevin Owens.
It is important to note that this match is most likely a one-off match-up that will likely involved a brand supremacy storyline as Raw and SmackDown LIVE are getting ready to build toward the joint event.
WWE Survivor Series will take place at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas on November 19th, 2017 on pay-per-view and the WWE Network. NXT Takeover: War Games is also scheduled to take place the night before.
Please keep in mind that this is simply a report and things could obviously change, especially since this news has been leaked.
