As seen on this weeks AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho challenged MJF with the stipulation being, if Jericho did not beat MJF he would no longer wrestle for AEW.
He did add he would stay and only do commentary for Rampage.
For those wondering if this was a plan for Jericho to depart the company, there is now a clear picture on his contract status.
Jericho did indeed sign a 3 year deal when the company started which would end in late 2022 or early 2022.
Now according to a new report from Dave Meltzer, Jericho has a one year option on his end.
In reality Jericho could be under contract for AEW until late 22/early 23. This is no way being done to set up Jericho’s exit from the company.
